The vast changes that are taking place on a continuous basis in the Indian business environment offer both challenges and opportunities to earn and sustain competitive advantage with a passion for excellence. It is quite disheartening to note that there exists a serious mismatch between the demand for employment and supply of human resources. India is truly rich in terms of human resources with a huge youth population called ‘demographic dividend’ compared to the rest of the world. But the disturbing question is: ‘are they really resourceful?’ The paradoxical situation is that many organizations have left numerous vacancies unfilled for want of not only qualified but more importantly multi-skilled, flexible, talented, committed and competent persons.

Pages : 250 The New Age Banking Technology has changed the scenario of banking sector in India; we see the growing trend in this sector. It has vastly benefitted from the surge in disposable income of individuals in the country. There has also been a noticeable rise in transactions through Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), and also internet and mobile banking. Consequently, the different banks, viz public, private and foreign banks have invested considerably to increase their banking network and thus, their customer reach. Banks are moving from a product-centric approach to a customer-centric approach fully understanding the requirements of customers. Here there is a lot of change in customer relationship management. As a latest trend, the mobile phone has become part and parcel of our everyday life. Commercial banks are looking for the penetration into the mobile application banking, and likewise large and mid-size co-operative banks are also following the New Age Technology in their services. This book is a compendium of research articles submitted to the national conference.
